Australia’s premier turntablist, “DJD” creates a mix on the 1200s (turntables) using a DVS (digital vinyl system), 12” or 7” vinyl, with genres ranging from hip-hop to r&b, soul and funk, with original samples of tracks taking the listener on a sound journey through the decades from the 1950s to now.

1200 Twelves features 100 DJs from around the globe creating a unique non-stop mix from 12 of their 12″ vinyl records, all adding up to 1200 12″ vinyl records. This music-centric show delights you with a unique non-stop beat mix, and with different guest DJs each week mixing up the sound. Announcements at beginning middle and end will generally include track listings and generic info about the guest DJ such as origin, how many years in the game, and any notable moments in their DJ career.

This is a music-based show with a unique mix from start to finish featuring elements of turntablism throughout, plus information on original samples and year of release plus how certain tracks are associated through the decades.
