This week on Ireland Calling we’ll be chatting to Eilis Kennedy about the Celtic Divas upcoming tour. Celtic Divas are a group of female artists who perform haunting and evocative songs. Eilis is part of the group Lumiere along with Pauline Scanlon and they are one of the most talked about vocal acts to emerge from Ireland in recent times. Celtic Divas will be touring Sydney throughout the month of June.

Also this weekend, we’ll talk to the Consul-General of Ireland about the upcoming Bloomsday on Bondi event to be held on Saturday 16th June. Bloomsday celebrates the day on which the charachter Leopold Bloom from the novel, Ulysses first went out with his wife Nora Barnacle.
