Radio2RDJ-FM relies heavily on our friendly band of dedicated volunteers to keep the station broadcasting. We’re always looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to contribute to the station in a number of roles. You will need to be someone keen to learn and apply new skills as well as bring existing skills, take on responsibility and show initiative and commitment.

Radio 2RDJ-FM thrives in diversity. Perhaps you have a technical background, or can help in the office or production? Maybe you’re interested in presenting one of our popular programmes, or you have an idea for a show of your own? Drop us a line, let us know who you are and what you’d like to do, and any previous radio experience you might have. You might be an experienced broadcaster with a great proposal that would suit our station’s output, or have an idea for a totally new show. Focus on community. Think about what kind of content you could offer (interviews, music genre, special segments, etc.), as well as the kind of commitment you could realistically and sustainably give to the station week to week, and for how long.

If you are part of a formally established, not-for-profit community group operating in our target broadcast area (the local government areas of Ashfield, Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield), we would love to promote your activities.  Membership and/or sponsorship of Radio 2RDJ-FM will help you to communicate with like-minded people and to promote your activities to our listening audience.

To be a part of 2RDJ-FM you should be:

  • Passionate about radio
  • interested in community issues
  • a good communicator
  • willing to work as part of a team
  • responsible and reliable
