It’s festivals season, so between now and Easter we’ll concentrate on relevant acts from both Bluesfest and The National Folk Festival and others. In today’s program we’ll also include some acts playing WOMADelaide this weekend.
Plus more women’s blues & roots music from some of the CDs we debuted last week, particularly Katie Euliss (Truckstop Honeymoon – currently touring), Candye Kane, Tracy McNeil, Janiva Magness, Ali Penney, Ana Popovic, and Gleny Rae.
We’ll also play a couple of blues-‘n’-roots-ified Disney tunes from the Stay Awake compilation and Michelle Shocked‘s Got No Strings, in memory of Robert B Sherman (19 December 1925 New York NY – 5 March 2012 London UK) who with his brother Richard wrote heaps of ’em!
