Well, it’s National Reconciliation Week so we’ll feature the soundtrack to The Straits.
It’s also the first week of June, so we’ll have our annual birthday tribute to the Black Routes poster gal, Memphis Minnie, born Lizzie Douglas on 3 June 1897 in Algiers Louisiana.
Expect also to hear more from Nicky Bomba’s Bustamento, Lily Dior, Flap!, and Catherine Russell, and those beaut El Toro compilations, Ray Harris and Friends : Mississippi Rockers, Rocket Morgan and Friends : Louisiana Rockers, and El Mexican Rock & Roll Vol 2!
